TASK PERIOD IV
TASK 42 DATA COLLECTION - SECOND IMPLEMENTATION YEAR (2023-2024)
STUDENT TESTING, INCLUDING CONSENTING AND DATA COLLECTION, IN SECOND GRADE IN APPROXIMATELY 87 SCHOOLS IN FIVE DISTRICTS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INDIVIDUALLY-ADMINISTER THE WOODCOCK READING MASTERY TEST, THIRD EDITION (WRMT-III), TO A SUBSAMPLE OF STUDENTS IN THE SECOND GRADE (I.E., COHORT 2) IN SPRING 2023 (APPROXIMATELY 3,450 STUDENTS).
TEACHER SURVEYS - THESE SURVEYS WILL PROVIDE DATA ON TEACHER CHARACTERISTICS, MTSS-R TRAINING AND IMPLEMENTATION, AND SCHOOL CLIMATE. THESE SURVEYS SHALL BE ADMINISTERED TO A SAMPLE OF TEACHERS IN THE SPRING OF 2024. WE ESTIMATE THAT THE SURVEY WILL BE ADMINISTERED TO APPROXIMATELY 900 TEACHERS IN SPRING 2024.
READING SPECIALIST SURVEYS THESE SURVEYS OF ALL READING SPECIALISTS WILL PROVIDE DATA ON READING SPECIALIST CHARACTERISTICS, MTSS-R ACTIVITIES, AS WELL AS OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION. THESE SURVEYS WILL BE ADMINISTERED IN THE SPRING OF FIRST STUDY YEAR. WE ESTIMATE THAT APPROXIMATELY 900 READING SPECIALISTS WILL BE SURVEYED IN SPRING 2024.
SCHOOL MTSS-R POLICY SURVEY THESE SURVEYS OF THE MTSS-R LEADER OR OTHER KNOWLEDGEABLE ADMINISTRATOR WILL PROVIDE DATA ON SCHOOLS FORMAL SCREENING AND PROGRESS MONITORING PROCEDURES. THESE SURVEYS WILL BE ADMINISTEREDIN THE SPRING OF THE FIRST STUDY YEAR. WE ESTIMATE THAT 150 MTSS-R TEAM LEADERS (I.E., ONE PER SCHOOL) WILL BE SURVEYED IN SPRING 2024.

TASK 29A DATA ANALYSIS, REPORT PREPARATION, AND RESTRICTED USE FILE
ASSIST IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE TEACHER AND READING SPECIALIST SURVEY DATA, REVIEW THE WRITE UP OF RESULTS FOR THE FINAL REPORT.

THIS CONTRACT IS TO EVALUATE THE IMPACT OF OFFERING SCHOOLS TRAINING IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MULTI-TIERED SYSTEMS OF SUPPORT FOR READING (MTSS-R) IN EARLY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ON STAFF PRACTICE AND STUDENT OUTCOMES. THE TRAINING IS EXPECTED TO BE INTENSIVE AND FOCUSED ON ENABLING SCHOOL STAFF TO SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENT THE KEY COMPONENTS OF MTSS-R.
