Background
Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) is a large urban school division in Norfolk, Virginia, serving approximately 30,000 students across 52 facilities. The division aims to ensure that all children achieve their highest potential.

This Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 26011CW seeks to solicit sealed bids for window removal and replacement services at Larrymore Elementary School.

Work Details
The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the following tasks:
1. Replace windowpanes throughout the building;
2. Remove any damaged glass and hazardous materials as defined in the contract documents;
3. Transport replacement glass to the worksite;
4. Provide and coordinate delivery of a lift for work;
5. Replace glass and any damaged stainless steel trim caps;
6. Remove and dispose of all debris from the premises;
7. Check or test windows for leaks and pressure before job completion.

The work will be conducted in two phases: Phase one must be substantially completed by August 17, 2026, with final completion by August 24, 2026. Phase two will occur the following summer with similar deadlines.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins upon issuance of a Purchase Order and extends through full project completion on August 24, 2026, with a second phase extending to August 24, 2027.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Larrymore Elementary School located at 7600 Halprin Drive, Norfolk VA 23518.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been actively engaged in providing similar services for at least three years. They are required to submit a bid bond or guarantee of five percent (5%) of the bid amount.

Additionally, bidders must provide certificates of insurance from authorized companies in Virginia covering workers' compensation and general liability insurance with specified limits.
