Background
Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) is a large urban school division in Norfolk, Virginia, serving approximately 30,000 students with a staff of over 4,600 across 52 facilities. The mission of NPS is to ensure that all children achieve at high levels and reach their highest potential.

This Invitation for Bid (IFB) aims to solicit sealed bids for window removal and replacement services at Sherwood Forest Elementary School.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the following tasks:
1. Replace windowpanes throughout the building.
2. Remove any damaged glass and hazardous materials as defined in the contract documents.
3. Transport replacement glass to the worksite located at Sherwood Forest Elementary School, 3035 Sherwood Forest Lane, Norfolk VA, 23513.
4. Provide and coordinate delivery of a lift to perform the work.
5. Replace glass and any damaged stainless steel trim caps.
6. Remove and dispose of all debris from the premises.
7. Check or test windows for leaks and pressure before job completion.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Purchase Order and will continue until full project completion on August 24, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be regularly engaged in providing similar services for at least three years and must provide a bid bond or guarantee of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Additionally, bidders must submit certificates of insurance from authorized companies in Virginia that cover workers' compensation and general liability with specified minimum coverage limits.
