Eureka-2026-01 Eureka Elementary School Bathroom Remodel

Background
Charlotte County Public Schools (CCPS) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the renovation and remodeling of three bathrooms at Eureka Elementary School, located in Keysville, Virginia. The school serves approximately 600 students from Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade and was originally constructed in 1983, with renovations completed in 2018. The goal of this contract is to establish a firm fixed price agreement for the remodeling project, which aims to enhance the facilities to meet modern standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary parts, labor, materials, tools, equipment, delivery, and resources required for the bathroom remodel. Specific tasks include:

- Conducting site surveys and developing conceptual sketches;
- Removing and disposing of existing materials;
- Remodeling restrooms according to specifications with approved manufacturers;
- Obtaining all necessary permits;
- Arranging inspections as required by local, state, or federal codes;
- Designating a Job Manager on-site during work;
- Maintaining safety and protection of structures during work hours;
- Ensuring timely completion of the project by July 25, 2026.

The contractor must also ensure compliance with CCPS's Project Manager directives regarding personnel and additional work requests.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award on March 11, 2026. On-site work is expected to start as early as May 26, 2026, with project completion required by July 25, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be licensed and insured in the Commonwealth of Virginia. They are required to submit detailed qualifications including company background, experience with similar projects, references from past clients, and a description of how they will facilitate participation from local or minority businesses. Additionally, contractors must provide proof of insurance coverage including professional liability insurance of at least $2 million.
