DMV - Customer Service Center HVAC Replacement Kilmarnock, VA

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), is seeking bids for the HVAC replacement at the DMV Customer Service Center located in Kilmarnock, VA. The purpose of this contract is to upgrade the existing HVAC system to improve efficiency and comfort within the facility.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove existing HVAC systems and install new systems that meet or exceed specified requirements. Key tasks include:

1) Removal and disposal of the current 10-ton condenser, air handler, line set, and any related ductwork not utilized as transitional;
2) Installation of a new 3 Phase 208/230 volt, 10 Ton 15 SEER Daikin or equivalent heat pump condenser with R410a or R32 refrigerant;
3) Reconnection of all electrical connections and control wires;
4) Installation of a new air handler compatible with the new condenser;
5) Replacement of all flex duct runs from supply air trunk to supply registers (approximately 18-20);
6) Provision of a Honeywell 7-day non-wi-fi programmable digital thermostat;
7) Startup of new equipment and submission of a detailed report on operating pressures at startup along with manuals and warranty paperwork;
8) Compliance with Virginia OSHA Standards and Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Codes.

Period of Performance
The contract term shall begin upon execution and will last for thirty (30) days, which includes completion of all work and deliverables.

DMV Customer Service Center, 110 DMV Drive, Kilmarnock, VA 22482.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be properly licensed as required by Virginia law for construction contracts. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held prior to bidding.

The contractor must also provide proof of insurance coverage including Workers’ Compensation, Employer’s Liability, Commercial General Liability, and Automobile Liability. All contractors must comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding labor practices.
