DCR-VSP-Staunton River Battlefield State Park - Clover Hill Visitor s Center Repairs and Painting Services - Charlotte County

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Conservation and Recreation, is seeking bids for a one-time contract to provide repair and painting services for the Clover Hill Visitor's Center located at Staunton River Battlefield State Park in Charlotte County, Virginia.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and aesthetic enhancement of the facility, which is part of the state park system.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for either repairing or replacing siding and painting the entire exterior of the Clover Hill Visitor's Center. The scope includes:

1. Lot 1: Provide and install new siding and trim, assess and repair damage, and paint new siding and trim.
2. Lot 2: Provide and install new siding and trim, assess and repair only damaged boards, and paint all siding and trim.

Specific tasks include:
- Removal of existing siding and trim.
- Replacement with new Hardie Plank or approved equivalent.
- Painting all siding and trim with Sherwin Williams color agreed upon at award.
- Use of hot dipped galvanized or stainless-steel fasteners.
- Replacement of any damaged trim and fascia boards as needed.
- Removal and reinstallation of fixtures attached to the building (e.g., electric meters, gutter downspouts).
- Compliance with OSHA safety guidelines during repairs as the building will remain occupied during work.

Period of Performance
The work is to be scheduled within 7 days of issuance of the award purchase order, with completion no later than May 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Staunton River Battlefield State Park, located at 1035 Fort Hill Trail, Randolph, Virginia 23962.
