Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Corrections, is seeking to procure a vacuum sealer for use in the Southampton Kosher Kitchen.
The goal of this contract is to enhance food preservation capabilities through the acquisition of a high-quality vacuum sealing machine.
This solicitation is set aside for small business award priority.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of one (1) #Fresh Pac Express 48 vacuum sealer or an equivalent model.
The specifications for the vacuum sealer include:
- 48” Stainless Steel Frame
- 5/16” wide seal element in each jaw
- ¾ HP Electric vacuum pump
- Gas flush capability for modified atmosphere packaging
- Heavy Duty Steel Frame with NEMA 4X control box for wet environments
- Open-head design for easy access to bag position
- High/low pressure gauges for monitoring jaw closure and seal pressure
- Independent timers for vacuum, seal, and cool
- Adjustable head angle for horizontal or vertical use
- Pneumatic low-pressure jaw close safety system with release
- Emergency stop button for cycle abort
- Pneumatic foot switch cycle activation
- Minimum air requirement: 100 psi
- Voltage: 220V
- Dimensions: 33” – 51”W x 58”H x 32”D
- Includes a 3-year limited warranty, workshelf with bag support (36” x 16”), bag stretcher, wet vac, locking swivel casters, and crank adjustable frame.
Freight charges are also included in the bid.

Period of Performance
The delivery of the vacuum sealer is expected within 14 calendar days after receipt of order (ARO).

The vacuum sealer will be delivered to Southampton Kosher Kitchen located at 14545 Old Belfield Road, Capron, VA 23829.
