Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Austin State Hospital

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system.

The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers Invitations for Bids (IFBs) for HHS. HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for Kitchen Equipment Maintenance and Repair at Austin State Hospital. Both HHS Agencies, HHSC and DSHS, will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this IFB.

Work Details
The required services include maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment, quarterly service on hot and cold side equipment, and ice machine services at Austin State Hospital.

Specific tasks include:
- Performing preventive maintenance based on an equipment list provided in Exhibit F;
- Providing quarterly service on hot and cold side equipment, and ice machines;
- Calibration, lubrication, adjustments of doors, temperature adjustments, checking gaskets;
- De-scaling ice machines;
- Cleaning coils;
- Cleaning internal parts on ice machines;
- Sanitizing ice bins;
- Verifying that all listed equipment is functioning properly;
- Changing ice machine filters semiannually and reverse osmosis filters annually;
- Ensuring all cleaning supplies and filter media are included.

Any repairs or parts needed during inspections will be communicated to the Electrical Supervisor for approval. PM repairs must be performed during regular business hours unless otherwise agreed upon.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is the date of award following the response deadline of January 7, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Austin State Hospital located at 4110 Guadalupe Street, Austin, Texas, 78751.
