Description
Background
The South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) is seeking to modernize its mission-critical mainframe application systems, which include ADS/O interactive and COBOL batch applications utilizing an IDMS database. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather insights on the automated conversion of these systems to a .Net – SQL database deployed in Azure GCC. Vendors will have the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities through a proof of concept.
Work Details
Vendors are required to conduct a proof of concept that demonstrates the automated conversion of an ADSA application and associated IDMS database records. The current mainframe application environment includes zOS v 2.04.00, IDMS v 19.0, and IBM Enterprise COBOL for Z/OS v 4.2.0.
The proof of concept will involve:
1. One ADSA application,
2. Four ADS/O dialogs (~1200 lines of code total),
3. Four maps,
4. Fifteen database record types (6 set, 4 index).
Vendors will receive an IDMS schema report with record definitions, sample data for each record type, map definitions, Bachman diagrams, ASDA diagram, and source code for all ADS/O dialogs upon signing a non-disclosure agreement.
Deliverables include C# .NET and client-side objects to replace the ADS/O dialogs and maps, as well as C# data definitions and DDL to replace the IDMS record definitions.
The demonstration must be completed within 30 days and include a presentation with a Q&A session.
Period of Performance
The demonstration must be completed within 30 days from the date of engagement.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed remotely with potential presentations at the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must sign a non-disclosure agreement to access specific materials needed for the proof of concept. Generated code must be fully automated, human-readable, maintainable, not require any licensed software to operate, and compatible with deployment into the Azure Government Community Cloud (GCC) using a standardized DevOps pipeline.
