Proposal No. 26-G205 Henderson High School Partial Roof Refurbishment/Replacement Project

Background
The West Chester Area School District, located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, is seeking sealed bids for the Henderson High School Roof Refurbishment Project. This project aims to refurbish and replace the roof at Henderson High School to ensure safety and functionality for the school community.

Work Details
The contract includes the following services:

1. Base Bid #1: Provide a cold-fluid-applied polyurethane roofing/waterproofing system on structural concrete, plywood sheathing, cover board, metal or other substrates for the Auditorium Dressing Room Roof. This includes 15% insulation, cover board, and EPDM membrane replacement.

2. Base Bid #2: Provide a similar roofing system for the Auditorium Entrance Roof with the same specifications as above.

3. Unit Prices: Include pricing for metal deck replacement in specified areas.

4. Alternates: Options for extended warranties on roofing systems (25-year warranty instead of 20-year) and complete roof replacements with new EPDM roofing systems including all necessary demolition and installation.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is expected to commence on June 15, 2026, with substantial completion required by August 7, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Henderson High School located at 400 Montgomery Avenue, West Chester, PA 19380.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years’ experience in public-school construction or renovation projects. They must not have any projects completed more than three months beyond the contract required substantial completion date within the last three years.

Bidders are required to provide references from at least three similar projects and must not have been terminated from any previous project. Additionally, bidders must submit a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor’s Qualification Statement along with their bid.
