Background
The City of Columbus is seeking proposals for a Universal Term Contract to provide Automotive Preventative Maintenance Services for the Division of Fleet Management. The goal of this contract is to maintain City vehicles effectively and efficiently, ensuring they are operational and safe for use. The contract will be in effect until September 30, 2028.
Work Details
The successful bidder will provide a range of Automotive Preventative Maintenance Services, including but not limited to: oil changes (conventional and synthetic), filter replacements, checking and filling fluid levels (including rear and front differential fluids, power steering fluid, transmission/transaxle fluid), and visual inspections of critical vehicle components such as glass, brakes, shocks, drivetrain, seals, hoses, belts, horn, battery, and cables.
Specific services include:
- Oil changes based on various quarts (5 to 8 quarts)
- Diesel full synthetic oil changes
- Premium oil filters for Ford hybrids
- Lubrication of chassis and doors
- Checking and topping off various fluids
- Visual inspections of critical vehicle components.
Additionally, bidders must demonstrate experience in providing these services through documentation of past contracts and references.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will remain in effect until September 30, 2028. There is an option for annual extension subject to mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the City of Columbus, divided into quadrants for efficiency in service delivery.
