Background
Cumberland County is soliciting proposals for qualified auto body contractors to perform vehicle body repair and painting services on an 'as needed' basis for vehicles managed by Cumberland County Fleet Management. The County has an estimate of around 600 vehicles, with approximately 100 vehicles serviced each year requiring body repair and paint work due to accidents.
Work Details
The Service Provider will provide auto body repair and painting services for conventional, transit, and passenger vehicles, including general body repair, dent repair, component replacement for exterior body components, collision damage repair, painting all or portions of vehicle bodies, and repair within the insurance estimated body damage. Additionally, specific repair and painting services for law enforcement vehicles must match precisely. The Service Provider's shop shall reside within 20 miles of Cumberland County Fleet Management. Service Provider must be available during normal business hours Monday through Friday, make Cumberland County Fleet Management a priority customer, provide lifetime warranty on all Vehicle Body Repair and Painting, abide by North Carolina laws and regulations, have experience working with a government entity or company of similar size and scope to Cumberland County, may be required to provide onsite visits for appraisal of damage repair, and in some instances may need to use total loss vehicles from insurance companies for parts to repair other County vehicles.
Period of Performance
Proposals will be received before 3:00 PM on March 1, 2024.

The Service Provider's shop shall reside within 20 miles of Cumberland County Fleet Management located at 426 Mayview Street, Fayetteville, NC, 28306.
