Background
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, established in 1965, aims to consolidate its partnerships with marketing, design, communications, and production contractors into a unified program. The contract will encompass two primary categories of services: Creative & Campaign Services and Web & Interactive Development.
Under Creative & Campaign Services, contractors will provide full-service creative strategy and execution including campaign development, brand identity design, copywriting, storytelling, graphic design across various formats, art direction, production management, and consultation on message positioning. Specific examples include brand development, integrated campaign design, advertising creative (digital/print), copywriting for editorial content, graphic design for collateral materials, and creative consulting.
For Web & Interactive Development services, vendors will design and support websites that align with university branding and accessibility standards. This includes full website builds, UX/UI design, accessibility audits, microsite development, content migration support, technical consulting, and performance optimization. Examples include website design and front-end development, UX research and interface design, ADA/WCAG accessibility audits, microsite creation, content management system integration, and web analytics implementation.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is one year from the effective date of execution. There is an option for the state to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms at its discretion.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered as North Carolina vendors in good standing. They are required to complete various attachments including a financial proposal (Attachment A), HUB supplemental vendor information (Attachment D), customer reference form (Attachment E), location of workers utilized by vendor (Attachment F), and certification of financial condition (Attachment G). Vendors must also comply with E-Verify requirements for employee work authorization.
