Roof Replacement Scott County Law Enforcement Center

Background
The Scott County Law Enforcement Center Roof Replacement Project is initiated by Scott County to replace the existing roofs of the Law Enforcement Center. The project involves the removal of nine (9) existing ballasted flat roof areas and replacing them with adhered EPDM roofs. The total roof area is approximately 56,935 square feet, with 38,090 square feet having a concrete deck and 18,845 square feet having a metal deck. This project aims to enhance the facility's integrity and functionality.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Removal of nine (9) existing ballasted flat roof areas.
2. Installation of adhered EPDM roofing over the specified areas.
3. Ensure that all work complies with local building codes and regulations.
4. Provide temporary protection during demolition and construction phases.
5. Manage construction waste according to specified guidelines, including recycling nonhazardous materials.
6. Conduct all work in accordance with safety standards and maintain a clean job site.
7. Provide warranties for workmanship and materials as specified in Section 017400.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence on or around April 7, 2026, with specific timelines for completion outlined in the project schedule.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Scott County Law Enforcement Center located at 301 Fuller Street South, Shakopee, MN 55379.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Scott County’s standard contract terms which include:

1. Proof of insurance coverage as specified, including general liability and workers' compensation.
2. Submission of a comprehensive plan detailing the ability to complete the roof replacement efficiently.
3. A list of five similar projects completed by the bidder.
4. Attendance at a mandatory informational conference on February 18, 2026, at the project site.
