Laptop Request For Information

Background
The State of Maryland's Department of General Services is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather insights from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) authorized to sell and support Dell, HP, or Lenovo personal computers.
The goal is to inform a potential future procurement aimed at standardizing the laptop and desktop fleet for improved cost efficiency, lifecycle management, and support while also promoting socioeconomic objectives.

Work Details
The RFI seeks information on full standard specifications for laptops and desktops from authorized vendors.
Specific configurations include:
- Standard Laptops (Standard User, Power User, Executive User)
- Rugged Laptops (Rugged Standard User, Rugged Power User, Portable Users)
- Desktops (Standard User, Power User).
The RFI requests details on qualitative merits, pricing for various configurations, transition support for consolidating to a single OEM environment, and opportunities for Certified Small Businesses (CSBs), Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), and Veteran-Owned Small Business Enterprises (VSBEs) to participate in future solicitations.
