Background
The Town of Spencer, Massachusetts, is seeking proposals for Managed Information Technology Services to support all departments. The goal of this contract is to provide ongoing management, operation, upgrade, support, and coordination of the Town's IT network. The selected vendor will function as the Town's de facto IT department, providing necessary services and guidance for IT-related plans and improvements.
Work Details
The vendor will provide a range of services including:
- Windows Server Update Service (WSUS) or equivalent for patch management across all Microsoft operating systems.
- 24/7 remote monitoring and reporting for anti-virus protection.
- Ongoing management and troubleshooting of the IT network (hardware & software).
- System and server backup & restore.
- Engineering and creation of software utilities/scripts.
- Help Desk System for streamlined support requests with classifications for response priorities (Critical Emergency, Non-Critical).
- Proactive correction of critical IT environment problems within specified timeframes.
- Administration of wireless networks and monitoring of critical systems including mail servers and gateways.
- Chief Information Officer services to advise on IT projects and initiatives.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to last until March 16th, 2026, with potential extensions based on mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations in Spencer, MA including Town Hall, Department of Public Works, Police Department, Fire Department, Library, and Sewer Department.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must have at least five years of experience in providing similar IT services. They must demonstrate possession of necessary staffing, resources, knowledge, and experience to deliver the full range of required services.
