Bid Specifications for Generator Project

Background
Lowndes County, on behalf of PruittHealth Corporation, is seeking sealed bids from qualified electrical contractors to furnish and install emergency standby generators at five nursing home facilities located throughout Lowndes County, Georgia. The goal of this contract is to ensure that these facilities have reliable emergency power systems in place to maintain operations during outages.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, permits, and supervision required for the complete installation of emergency standby generators at the following facilities:

- PruittHealth – Crestwood (Minimum 230 kW)
- PruittHealth – Holly Hill (Minimum 230 kW)
- PruittHealth – Lakehaven (Minimum 230 kW)
- PruittHealth – Parkwood (Minimum 350 kW)
- PruittHealth – Valdosta (Minimum 200 kW)

All generators must be diesel-fueled with integral belly tanks. The scope includes:

- Furnishing and installing generators
- Providing concrete pads
- Installing automatic transfer switches and associated electrical infrastructure
- Reconfiguring existing electrical service
- Trenching and backfill
- Coordinating outages
- Preparing a Temporary Power Plan
- Conducting load-bank testing
- Providing training and O&M manuals.

Compliance with detailed specifications outlined in the engineering drawings is mandatory.

Period of Performance
The project timeline includes a mandatory pre-bid meeting on January 7, 2026, with bids due by January 16, 2026. Contractors must propose completion timeframes in their bids.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at five nursing home facilities located in Lowndes County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed Electrical Contractors with experience in at least three comparable generator installations within the last five years. They must have certified personnel for installation and commissioning of the proposed equipment. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for bid acceptance.
