ATC - Building J Roof Repairs

Background
The Technical College System of Georgia is accepting sealed bids on behalf of Athens Technical College for the Athens Campus - Building J Roof Repairs project. The college's mission is to provide quality education and training to students. This project aims to repair the roofing system of Building J to ensure safety and functionality. The project is located at 800 US Highway 29 North, Athens, Georgia 30601.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Removal of existing retrofit roof drains and installation of new drainage assemblies at specified locations;
2) Installation of new tapered isocyanurate insulation and cover board;
3) Installation of a fully adhered modified bitumen membrane system;
4) Re-flashing existing pitch pans and plumbing vents;
5) Repairing open laps in the roofing membrane;
6) Conducting demolition operations with minimal interference with occupied spaces;
7) Documenting existing conditions before starting work. Specific tasks include installing new drain assemblies, repairing plumbing vents, and ensuring all materials used are new unless otherwise noted.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Proceed Order.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Athens Technical College, located at 800 US Highway 29 North, Athens, Georgia 30601.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Georgia General Contractor license. A bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid is required. Bidders must also submit a Contractor Affidavit under O.C.G.A. §13-10-91 (b)(1) confirming compliance with immigration laws. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to employ Georgia residents and use materials produced in Georgia.
