Background
The University of Florida is seeking bids for the purchase of Cisco wireless networking equipment and accompanying accessories and services. The purpose and scope of the contract is to establish an indefinite quantity, firm fixed price contract to enhance the wireless coverage, connectivity, and resiliency across UF’s main campus and state-wide remote facilities. The existing wireless network consists of multiple sets of highly available controller pairs clustered to serve 60,000+ concurrent students, faculty, and staff devices across 14,000+ lightweight access points managed within UF’s public campus, student residence halls, and academic health divisions.
The network is built to support clients ranging from student and guest Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) devices to critical collaboration, research, and health Internet Of Things (IOT) devices. UF's spend on equipment in support of this network for FY24 to date is over $1.5M.
Work Details
The University of Florida is seeking to establish a primary source for lightweight access points (AP) and wireless controllers. The contract requires the successful vendor(s) to provide specific services including:
- Delivery within 14 business days of receipt of the associated Purchase Order
- Supply new products in their original packaging exactly as ordered with no substitutions unless approved in writing by authorized representative of UF
- Furnish updated price lists once per contract year
- Supply installation, configuration, and operations documentation for all products supplied
- Provide security alerts within 24 hours of publication
- Offer 24/7 product support with technical support available within one hour for severity 1 outages
- Ensure service personnel and parts are on-site within 4 hours for severity 1 outages or by the next business day for all other outages
- Provide support for client-performed firmware and OS updates
- Offer RMA support with next-day shipping for all replacement parts
- Respond to requests for quotation within three (3) business days with quotes valid for a minimum of thirty (30) days.
Period of Performance
UF intends to contract with one or more Vendors for an initial period of three (3) years with an option to renew based on satisfactory performance and written approval of both parties for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods. Price changes will normally only be considered at the end of each contract year with a limit on price increases not exceeding the lesser of 3% or the corresponding increase in the CPI for that year.
