Work Details
The contractor will provide as-needed repair services for above-ground storage tanks (AST), underground storage tanks (UST), and all connecting pipes. Specific services include:
- Boot replacement in dispensers, piping, and/or transition sumps
- Sensor replacement for monitoring systems
- Reconfiguring, troubleshooting, and replacement of monitoring systems (brands include Veeder-Root, OPW Global, Pneumercator)
- Sump replacement for dispenser, tank, transition and/or piping
- Overflow prevention valves
- Overfill alarms
- Fuel gauges
- Release detection gauges
- Nozzle replacement
- Valve replacement
- Vent cap replacement
All repair services must be performed by a Certified Pollutant Storage Systems Contractor.
Period of Performance
The anticipated initial contract term is three years.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed throughout Sarasota County at various locations where the petroleum storage tanks are situated.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide verifiable references demonstrating experience with both aboveground and underground petroleum product storage tanks within the past seven years. At least one reference must be from a governmental institution. Bidders must hold an active Certified Pollutant Storage Systems Contractor license at the time of bid opening. Additionally, bidders must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding safety and environmental standards.
