Jacksonville Public Library E-Rate Wi-Fi Access Point Refresh

Background
The City of Jacksonville, through its Technology Solutions Department, is seeking proposals for the refresh of the existing wireless network access hardware at all Duval County libraries. This initiative is part of the Jacksonville Public Library's E-Rate program for FY2025, aimed at enhancing connectivity and service delivery to the community. The goal is to replace outdated equipment with Extreme Networks hardware, ensuring that the libraries are equipped with reliable and efficient wireless access points.

Work Details
The contract involves replacing 166 existing access points and installing 21 new access points across 21 library locations. The winning bidder will be responsible for:
- Providing Extreme Networks equipment or equivalent alternatives (documentation required for equivalency).
- Installation, removal, replacement, surplus transport, and configuration of the access points.
- Providing an Excel list of removed access points including serial numbers and property tag numbers.
- Transporting removed access points to the City’s surplus yard.
- Pulling, terminating, certifying, and labeling 21 new drops with gray category 6 plenum UTP cables.
- Including patch cables and any other required accessories in their bid.

Specific locations include:
1. Argyle Branch: 5 existing APs
2. Beaches Branch: 5 existing APs
3. Badham & Brooks Branch: 5 existing APs + 5 additional APs
4. Brentwood Branch: 3 existing APs + 2 additional APs
5. Main Library: 62 existing APs + 7 additional APs
6. Other branches listed with respective quantities.

Installation may require a ladder or lift.

Period of Performance
The term of agreement for this bid is from April 1, 2025, through September 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations throughout Duval County, Florida.
