CCCS RFI 25-023 Learning Management System

Background
The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is the largest education provider in Colorado, comprising 13 State Community Colleges that serve over 115,000 students across 35 sites. CCCS has utilized D2L BrightSpace as its Learning Management System (LMS) for over 15 years. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to assess current LMS features and services available in the marketplace. The goal is to determine if a new RFP is warranted based on the evolving needs of its online learning consortium, Colorado Online.

Work Details
CCCS seeks information on various aspects of Learning Management Systems, including:
- Faculty experience with course building features such as course copy tools, assignments, discussion posts, and assessments.
- Faculty experience in teaching courses within the LMS, including grading assignments and providing feedback.
- Student experience with accessing grades, submitting assignments, and participating in discussions.
- Integration capabilities with third-party platforms like Pearson and McGraw-Hill.
- Support services available for administrators, faculty, and students.
- Roadmap for future LMS developments including AI features.
- Organizational course structure to support multiple colleges under a single LMS instance while ensuring secure access.

Period of Performance
This RFI was posted on June 5, 2025, with responses due by July 8, 2025. The timeline for any subsequent contract or implementation will be determined based on the responses received.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the State of Colorado across the various campuses of the Colorado Community College System.
