On-Call Solid Waste Consulting Services

Work Requested:
The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking proposals for professional solid waste consulting services to support the management, oversight, and administration of the City's solid waste programs. The selected Contractor will work collaboratively with City staff, dedicating approximately 20 hours per week during the contract term. The Contractor's responsibilities will include:

• Administration of residential and commercial franchise agreements
• Solid waste data analysis
• Promotion, education, and outreach for solid waste programs
• Grant administration
• Customer service related to solid waste programs
• Compliance reporting
• Development and implementation of new solid waste diversion programs
• Other related projects and assistance as needed

Most work may be performed off-site unless otherwise directed by the City.

Who is Requesting:
This solicitation is issued by the City of Rancho Cordova, Public Works Department.

Background:
The City will utilize a combination of City staff and Contractor staff to enhance community program delivery, streamline administrative processes, and leverage data for decision making. City staff will lead solid waste programming efforts but will depend on the Contractor for program management support and subject matter expertise to further the City's goals.
