The City of Santa Clara (hereinafter City ) is soliciting bids for a Citywide purchases of Dell computer hardware and peripherals from Dell Marketing L.P. or Authorized Resellers who are part of the contract issued to Dell Marketing L.P. (Contract #01-143) which was selected through the Region 14 Education Service Center Request for Proposal #45-22, dated October 4, 2022. Bidders must be a Authorized Reseller or Contract Party for Technology Solutions, Products or Services Contract #01-143, https://www.omniapartners.com/suppliers/dell/public-sector/contract-documents#contract-1482 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: 1) See attached statement of work and/or related documents for details. 2) Please refer to the RFB Instructions document and any other attached documents. 3) Submit all response documents online through Periscope S2G, including electronic attachments if applicable, and/or through the Vendor Notes for Offer function. The City will not accept hardcopy response documents. 4) Final award shall be contingent upon selected firm (Contractor) accepting the City's Terms and Conditions. On March 4, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-6-22 (EO) regarding sanctions in response to Russian aggression in Ukraine. The EO is located at https://www.gov.ca.gov/wpcontent/uploads/2022/03/3.4.22-Russia-Ukraine-Executive-Order.pdf. The EO directs the City of Santa Clara to take certain immediate steps, including notifying all contractors and grantees of their obligations to comply with existing economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. government in response to Russia's actions in Ukraine, as well as any sanctions imposed under state law. This correspondence serves as a notice under the EO that as a contractor or grantee, compliance with the economic sanctions imposed in response to Russia's actions in Ukraine is required, including with respect to, but not limited to, the federal executive orders identified in the EO and the sanctions identified on the U.S. Department of the Treasury website (https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/financial-sanctions/sanctionsprograms-and-country-information/ukraine-russia-related-sanctions). Failure to comply may result in the termination of contracts or grants, as applicable .
Background
The City of Santa Clara is soliciting bids for citywide purchases of Dell computer hardware and peripherals from Authorized Resellers or Contract Parties under Contract #01-143, selected through the Region 14 Education Service Center Request for Proposal #45-22, dated October 4, 2022.

The City’s Information Technology Department (ITD) manages the deployment and purchases of all City computer hardware and peripherals excluding Silicon Valley Power. The City plans a major end-user hardware refresh starting in Fall 2024 through Winter 2026, which includes the replacement of approximately 800 desktops, 400 laptops, 400 laptop docks, and 1,500 monitors.

Work Details
The contract involves providing various Dell products including:
1. Desktops (Standard and Power Users)
- Standard: i7 14700 vPro or equivalent, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD.
- Power Users: i7 14700 vPro or equivalent, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD.
2. Workstation Desktops for CAD and ETABS with specific configurations.
3. Laptops (Standard and Power Users)
- Standard: i7 1365U vPro or equivalent, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD.
- Power Users: i7 1365U vPro or equivalent, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD.
4. Monitors (Standard and Power User) with specified sizes and resolutions.
5. Docking Stations for laptops and workstations.
6. Warranty requirements include a minimum three-year manufacturer warranty with next business day parts exchange.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is three years with an option for up to five additional one-year extensions for a total of eight years.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to various locations within the City of Santa Clara as specified in purchase orders.
