Government Description
UAS support services involve conducting and supporting a wide variety of airport-centric Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) research efforts, including tests, evaluations, and studies to support an efficient, productive, and cost-effective National Airspace System (NAS). Includes testing and evaluating UAS/autonomous technologies for airports, with task areas covering UAS detection and mitigation technologies/systems and UAS airport applications. Activities performed under this award include assessment of electronic conspicuity devices for NAS integration, UAS-based technologies and point cloud-based processing for airport obstacle surveys, autonomous SUAS deployment for on-airport applications, UAS Traffic Management (UTM) remote identification and non-cooperative detection integration, airport applications flight operations and technical support, safety area surveys and inspections, aircraft rescue and firefighting accident documentation, construction monitoring, and UAS platform services. The contractor also provides infrastructure and program management support.
