Government Description
Airport Safety, Design, Analysis, And Planning Support (ASDAP) provides project management, engineering, and technical support for airport safety, airport design, data analysis, and airport planning related projects. Work performed includes airport safety data mining and analysis, helicopter landing precision and downwash effects research for vertiport design, analysis of emas signage simulation survey data, literature reviews on droneports and autonomous vehicles at airports, collection of runway pavement friction and texture data, and technical support for runway incursion mitigation. Additional tasks involve airport planning, operations, GIS support, airport surveillance sensors and smart airport technology, data visualization, airport pavement friction research, gap analysis of wrong surface landing events, and evaluation of low impact resistant lighting towers. The contract supports the dissemination and collection of research and development information required for mission critical activities.
