Government Description
Aviation Weather Technical and Engineering Support Services (AWTESS) provides technical and engineering support for the aviation weather branch (ANG-C34) And the Weather Engineering & Evaluation Branch (ANG-C63) at the FAA william J. Hughes technical center. Work performed includes support for terminal precipitation on the glass (TPOG), Aviation Weather Demonstration & Evaluation (AWDE), common support services weather (CSS-WX), and Nextgen Weather Processor (NWP). Additional tasks include developing microservices architecture to convert weather products from icao meteorological information exchange model (IWXXM) format to Traditional Alphanumeric Code (TAC) format, and producing a lessons learned document. The contract also covers general engineering and technical support, including meteorological evaluation support services.
