Government Description
VHA VISN 10 - hazardous compounding contingency contract provides hazardous compounding services to VA medical facilities in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan as a contingency solution. The contractor is responsible for compounding hazardous drugs, including chemotherapy agents, based on patient-specific prescriptions at FDA 503A compliant facilities, in accordance with all relevant state and federal laws. Services include aseptic compounding, provision of chemotherapy agents, IV tubing, closed system drug transfer devices, and other necessary items for patient care, with urgent response to VA task orders. All work is performed to ensure essential medical pharmacy services are available when VA facilities cannot compound these agents independently.
