Government Description
USGS National Water Information System (NWIS) modernization project (AQUARIUS) provides support and maintenance for the AQUARIUS commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and custom applications used for the acquisition, processing, analysis, and dissemination of hydrologic data. Includes continued support for AQUARIUS time-series and AQUARIUS samples products, replacement of legacy systems such as adaps and qwdata, and further customization of the software to meet USGS Water Mission Area (WMA) needs. The project ensures consistent, reliable, and readily available water data for federal, state, and local agencies, consultants, and private citizens.
