Description

The purpose of the NIH Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development Award (K23) is to support the career development of individuals with a clinical doctoral degree who have made a commitment to focus their research endeavors on patient-oriented research. Individuals with a clinical degree who are interested in further career development in biomedical research other than patient-oriented research should refer to the Mentored Clinical Scientist Career Development (Parent K08) Award. Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply. Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are allowed.
