Community Engagement Evaluation and Data Coordination (CEED) Hub to Advance Data and Practice Transformation for Optimizing Oral Health for All (U01, Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), specifically the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), is issuing this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to establish a Community Engagement Evaluation and Data Coordination hub (CEED) as part of the Advancing Data and Practice Transformation (ADAPT) consortium.

The goal is to promote data use and transformational community engagement to optimize oral health for all individuals across their lifespan. This initiative seeks to address the persistent challenges of oral diseases in the U.S., which disproportionately affect populations with low socioeconomic status.

Grant Details
The CEED hub will coordinate activities across three primary domains:
1) Data Planning, Consultation, and Technical Assistance for Research Methodology and Analytics;
2) Community Engagement Evaluation; and
3) ADAPT Consortium Infrastructure and Operational Support.

Specific tasks include facilitating data harmonization, providing consultation services on research methodology, conducting evaluation research on community engagement efforts, organizing consortium meetings, managing the collaborative workspace in SCHARE, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations regarding human subjects.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, local governments, state governments, tribal governments, independent school districts, public housing authorities, faith-based organizations, and regional organizations. Foreign organizations are not eligible to apply. Applicants must have the necessary skills and resources to carry out the proposed research.

Period of Performance
The maximum project period is 5 years. The anticipated start date for funded projects is October 19, 2026.

Grant Value
NIDCR intends to commit $1 million in FY2027 to fund one award. Application budgets are not limited but must reflect the actual needs of the proposed project.
