modern data estate ingests, stores, prepares, models, serves, and visualizes data to produce
insights that can support, boost, and transform operations.

Establish a one-stop-shop data management concept to put the right data in

the hands of decision makers at the right time

Leverage NAVSEA Cloud as the foundational infrastructure

Capture and share (make transparent) as is data architecture

Define and develop a standardized Data Catalog to align with higher level policy

Utilize Microsoft 365 for common knowledge management tools & dashboards

Employ Crawl, Walk, Run approach to achieve Initial Operating Capability

Build the first increment of the data architecture with manageable data sets that

exercise NAVSEA Cloud capabilities

Conduct use cases that fill a need for NAVSEA or solve a current engineering or

business problem

Publish a NAVSEA Enterprise Data Estate Concept of Employment

Define the NAVSEA Enterprise Data Estate

Describe how NAVSEA personnel will use the NAVSEA Enterprise Data Estate

Determine interface requirements for where data needs to flow / feed / integrate

Lead workforce development to build data science knowledge, skills, abilities -
and ultimately behaviors that support digital transformation

Establish requirements for a NAVSEA data science training program

Conduct market research to determine availability of COTS / GOTS data science

training that meets NAVSEA requirements

Leverage existing training while also creating business solutions

Pilot NAVWAR's Data Science Fundamentals Workshop with NAVSEA projects that

will result in business value
