The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Cyber Engineering and Digital Transformation Directorate (SEA 03) is pleased to announce its Virtual Industry Day 2021 to be hosted virtually on, July 20 & 21, from 11:00 a.m. EDT to 3:00 p.m. EDT. This year's theme is NAVSEA 03 Creating the Digital Foundation . A robust schedule that features the strategic view, initiatives, small business opportunities, and other topics relevant to the direction and partnership opportunities with SEA 03 is planned for attendees.

No award is intended as a result of this Virtual Industry Day and/or one-on-ones, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information received. Any response to virtual industry day and/or one-on-ones is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding award.

Background
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Cyber Engineering and Digital Transformation Directorate (SEA 03) is hosting a Virtual Industry Day 2021 on July 20–21, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT. The event, themed "NAVSEA 03 – Creating the Digital Foundation," will feature strategic overviews, initiatives, small business opportunities, and topics on direction and partnership opportunities within SEA 03.

No award is intended and the government will not pay for any information received.

Work Details
- Provide true cybersecurity to systems and platforms by achieving complete system knowledge and restricting system functions to design requirements and detecting violations.
- Ensure unity of effort between shipboard and shore cybersecurity operations.
- Field defensive and situational awareness solutions; develop and field advanced response capabilities and automation.
- Enhance response skills within existing infrastructure and develop tools to improve manageability of the cyber technical area for programs and the fleet.
- Develop tools to increase understanding of risk to systems and fleet missions.

- Align cyber engineering efforts with NAVPLAN priorities (capacity, readiness, capabilities, sailors) and NAVSEA priorities (deliver combat power, transform digital capability, build a team).
- Support SEA 03 capabilities in digital ecosystems/processes, innovation, digital data/architecture, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and cyber/digital workforce.
- Advance SEA 03Q capabilities in supply chain risk management (SCRM), afloat cyber capabilities, endpoint enumeration, model-based cyber analysis, distributed test & evaluation, cybersecurity safety, policies & standards, and education.

- Implement supply chain risk management: OEM or authorized reseller sourcing, vendor relationships with adversaries, vendor incident history, CMMC certification, software/hardware assurance, procurement strategies, anti-counterfeit practices.

- Develop and deploy afloat cyber capabilities covering system enumeration, monitoring, preventative defense, automated component hardening, agile defense, mission impact awareness, automated analysis, extensible transport, operational resilience, mission triage, and control points aligned to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover.

- Advance Navy Control System (NCS) endpoint enumeration and MBSE: shipboard system enumeration, digital model development, automated MBSE tools for high-integrity model generation, ground-truth system awareness, risk and mission analysis automation.

- Develop digital transformation cyber policy and standards: cyber posture, ICS architectures, cyber operational centers, authorization improvements, SCRM, incident handling, boundary defense, situational awareness, monitoring, cyber response, afloat data archiving, data capture.

- Design and deliver NCS cybersecurity training based on the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework: scalable, role-based training with real-world scenarios and hands-on laboratory exercises for design, development, acquisition, and use of afloat control systems.
