Industry Day Engagement

The Government is seeking open collaboration and synergies with

industry for the purpose of idea exchanges and to promote innovation

This occurs best when everyone understands the environment clearly

In the interest of clarity, the following shall apply to the Industry Days

and any related engagements:
All exchanges are non-binding interactions, with no promise for a future

In the interest of impartiality and idea exchanges, Q&As will be posted, at a later

contract/requirement.

date, to Sam.gov.

Pilot Training Transformation
Lessons

Five proven lessons

Quality IPs and an acceptable student: instructor ratio
Student centered learning

Every student learns differently, IPs and syllabus should be able to accommodate
Not self paced; allows students to go faster no more sit down when ahead
Coach/athlete mentality; not spoon feed then hammer
Adopt adult learning models; rebuild courses using instructional systems design
Use of immersive technology; provide tools that reflect the 21st century (VR, 360 video)
Seamless access to content; on demand/on command academics in the cloud, provide

early access to foundational material, use of EFBs, etc.

Human Performance Optimization; build foundation for physically and mentally

tougher warriors.

Goal: Incorporate proven lessons from PTT
