May 2023: L3 Technologies Inc., Camden, New Jersey, was awarded an $80,810,130 contract for the Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet (DEUCSI). This contract provides for the ability to communicate with military platforms via multiple commercial space internet (CSI) constellations in various orbital regimes using common user terminal and hardware elements. Work will be performed in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 17, 2026. This contract was a competitive acquisition, and one offer was received. Fiscal 2022 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $20,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award.
