Definitive Contract
Overview
Government Description
Defense Experimentation Using Commercial Space Internet (DEUCSI) explores the use of commercial satellite internet for defense applications. This effort develops and experimentally tests satellite communications systems capable of operating with multiple commercial space internet constellations in low, medium, and geostationary earth orbits, providing a low size, weight, power, and cost (SWAP-C) terminal for resilient, high throughput, globally available, and highly reliable SATCOM on aircraft platforms. Includes establishing the ability to communicate with Air Force platforms via common user terminal hardware elements, as well as the development and integration of Multi-Band Conformal Antenna Systems (MCAS) and related components such as Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA), connectors, adapters, and ku feed boards.
