Remodel A2 south to cancer clinic - 553-21-100. The work involves the complete renovation of approximately 22,000 sq. Ft. Of an existing inpatient ward on the second floor, zone 1 of the john D. Dingell VA medical center in detroit, MI, converting it into a new cancer clinic that includes a dedicated compounding pharmacy. Tasks include gutting the existing floor area, removing drywall and metal studs from exterior walls for insulation, protecting existing chutes, patching concrete floors, installing new flooring, walls, ceilings, casework, doors, windows, division 10 specialty items, relocating pneumatic tube blowers, installing patient lifts, and constructing ballistics-rated structures. The project also covers mechanical and electrical work such as replacing and installing air handling units, new exhaust fans and ductwork, replacing poz-lok sprinklers and piping in designated fire zones, and integrating all systems into the existing facility to ensure full functionality.
