Tabletop Waterjet

Background
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the acquisition of a Tabletop Waterjet. The objective is to support research and experimentation efforts at the NASA Ames Research Center (ARC). This contract aims to enhance manufacturing capabilities by providing equipment that can produce prototype parts efficiently.

Work Details
The requirement is for 1 Tabletop Waterjet or an equivalent model with the following specifications:
- Capable of cutting aluminum, steel, or titanium up to 0.50 inches thick.
- Accuracy of cuts must be less than or equal to 0.005 inches.
- Must operate on tap water without special processing.
- Capable of cutting with and without garnet.
- Cutting kerf should be less than or equal to 0.06 inches.
- Minimum cutting size must be greater than or equal to 12x12 inches.
- Cutting speed in 0.25-inch thick steel should exceed 0.5 inches per minute.
- Must include a post-processor for generating cut files.
- Network certification for use on NASA's private network or not networkable.
- Power requirements: 220 or 110 single phase, 60 Hz.

Period of Performance
1 to 2 weeks after receipt of order (ARO).
