Sonic Systems, Inc. Ultrasonic Cleaning Tank System   3

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Kennedy Space Center (KSC) has a requirement for two (2) aqueous solution cleaning/degreasing tank systems with ultrasonic capability for commercial scale cleaning of hardware and components. The acquisition requires fabrication of new degreasing tanks systems, removal of existing tank systems and installation of new tanks systems.

NASA KSC intends to issue a sole source contract award to acquire the two (2) aqueous solution cleaning/degreasing tank systems with ultrasonic capability for commercial scale cleaning of hardware and components from Sonic Systems, Inc. 204 Railroad Drive, Warminster, PA 18974 under the authority Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. The proposed action will be a firm-fixed price contract. No other supplier can provide two ultrasonic tanks meeting the technical requirements for KSC's Component Refurbishment and Chemical Analysis Facility (CRCA). The manufacturer, Sonic Systems, Inc., is the only supplier of the highly customized ultrasonic cleaning tanks specifically modified to support the facility infrastructure at KSC.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Jerry Kalka, Contract Specialist, jerry.r.kalka@nasa.gov not later than 11:00 am. Eastern Daylight Time on August 19, 2021. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
