Description

The Eastern half of the 3rd floor is conditioned by an LG HVAC system using Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology Condensing unit 2 (CU-2) has an inverter-controlled compressor that has failed. The Electronic Expansion Valve bodies for the Main, and Sub systems must also be replaced. Contractor must be "LG" certified to work on equipment. Work must be completed within 14 days of notice to proceed.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract to repair the HVAC system on the 3rd floor East of Building 1 at the Fort Wayne campus. The goal is to address temperature control issues as warmer summer temperatures approach, ensuring a comfortable environment for occupants.

The work involves specialized repairs on an LG HVAC system that utilizes Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to complete the following tasks:

- Pull the entire charge on the HVAC system;
- Remove and replace the failed inverter compressor;
- Pressure test the chassis with nitrogen to 500 psi;
- Pull a deep vacuum of 500 microns and let it stand for a minimum of one hour;
- Replace the Main and Sub Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) bodies;
- Hook up LG's LGMV service tool to check the system for proper operation.

The contractor must have LG factory-trained technicians, be able to use LG’s LGMV diagnostic software tool, and possess EPA-recognized refrigerant certifications.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 14 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed.
