Procure new slip ring for NOAA ship RAINIER's Aft

Background
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), specifically the Office of Marine & Aviation Operations (OMAO), is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of a new slip ring assembly for the NOAA ship RAINIER's aft crane. This contract aims to provide government-furnished material (GFM) necessary for the FY27 dockside repair and maintenance period. The award will be made to an authorized distributor of Conductix Wampfler Slip Rings, ensuring compliance with brand name justification requirements.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of one (1) Conductix slip ring assembly, model SLIP RING RZ-DE04-SPEC, XA-595853 or equivalent, with specific attributes:

1. 17.5" through bore
2. Four (4) rings rated at 75 amps and 600 volts
3. Rings equipped with #6 TEW wire core leads extending 2 feet from the core
4. Estimated dimensions: 6.25" wide x 24.5" O.D.

Additionally, the contractor must provide an extra set of brushes and brush holders, along with shipping and handling services. A drawing of the slip ring must be submitted to the Port Engineer for approval prior to manufacture.

Period of Performance
Delivery is required no later than August 15, 2026.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to the Marine Operations Center - Pacific, NOAA ship RAINIER, Attn: Dale Morrison, Port Engineer, located at 2002 Marine Science Drive, Newport, OR 97365.
