OCR_ASLI _CART _Request for Proposal (RFP)

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is being competed through the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), for a 8a set aside under NAICS 541930 (Translation and Interpretation Services), in accordance with FAR Part 16.505. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has a statutory and regulatory requirement to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities pursuant to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. By providing ASL interpreting and Computer Aided Real-Time Transcribing Services (CART), USAID is ensuring that its Deaf and Hard of Hearing employees, applicants, and others conducting official business with the agency, have equal access to the terms, conditions, benefits, and privileges of employment, or for individuals doing business with the government by facilitating effective communication with others in the performance of their responsibilities and duties. The Contractor shall provide and maintain a consistent pool of certified and qualified sign language interpreters and CART transcriptionists for USAID employees, applicants, and others conducting official business with the government as detailed below.
