Neri Fire Engine E-601 Repairs   2

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking to procure urgent repairs for Engine 601, a 2015 Ford F-550 Type 6 Wildland Fire Engine. This vehicle plays a critical role in initial attack and prescribed fire operations, supporting national federal agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Forest Service (FS), and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) during wildland fires and prescribed burns.

The urgency of this procurement arises from an oil leak diagnosed as an Oil Pan failure, which was discovered on November 21, 2025.

Work Details
The contractor will replace the Oil Pan on the Ford-based Fire Truck and also replace a faulty fuel injector. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary parts, shop supplies, labor, and materials to complete the project tasks.

All repairs must be conducted at a certified repair facility by manufacturer-certified personnel using manufacturer-certified parts to comply with NFPA standards. Upon completion of the project, the contractor must provide warranty and invoice documentation to the Government. The estimated cost for these repairs is $3,766.25.

Period of Performance
Work is to be completed as soon as possible after an awarded purchase order.

Place of Performance
Repairs will be performed at a certified repair facility located in Summersville, WV.
