HVAC Grilles, Registers, and Diffusers Cleaning Services   2

Background
The Wilmington VA Medical Center, located at 1601 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19805, has a requirement for Cleaning Services for HVAC Grilles, Registers, Diffusers, and fan coil units. This contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, which aims to ensure a clean and safe environment for its facilities. The goal of this contract is to provide semi-annual cleaning services to maintain the efficiency and safety of the HVAC systems within the medical center.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision needed to perform the cleaning of all supply, return, and exhaust grilles, registers, and diffusers of the HVAC systems throughout the medical center. The services include:

1. Cleaning approximately 2,714 Grilles, Registers, and Diffusers (GRDs) as well as approximately 580 fan coil units using high-efficiency vacuums with HEPA filtration that meet National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) standards.

2. All surfaces of GRDs will be cleaned; hinged or clipped GRDs will be opened for thorough cleaning.

3. Disassembly may be required for certain types of GRDs to ensure complete cleaning.

4. Only air supply vents on fan coil units will be vacuumed without disassembly.

5. Cleaning frequency is estimated to be semi-annually and will be coordinated with the Wilmington VA Program Manager.

Period of Performance
The Period of Performance for this contract is from February 9, 2026 through February 8, 2031.
