Background
The Indian Health Service (IHS), an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN). The IHS is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for AI/AN, and its goal is to raise their health status to the highest possible level. The IHS headquarter (HQ) Data Centers utilizes the Qualstar hardware appliances in support of the Q80 tape libraries and the LTO7 FC tape drives still required by the National Data Warehouse.

Warranty and support coverage for the three Qualstar Q80 Tape Libraries plus (18) IBM LTO-7 FC Tape drives installed. Associated Serial Numbers include: DE68101862 DE68101861 DE68101860 The preferred level of warranty support for the tape libraries includes: Phone/Email Support M-F 7 AM - 4 PM PST Advance Replacement (including tape drives) - During the warranty period, Qualstar will replace a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) once it is determined to be defective by a TSS. The standard method of shipment for components other than complete libraries is prepaid via three-day air transportation (domestic) or Economy air transportation (international). Priority shipping uplift options are available for purchase. An invoice will be sent to you for the FRU. An offsetting credit will be issued when the defective FRU is received by Qualstar.
