It is the responsibility of potential quoters to monitor SAM.gov for additional information pertaining to this requirement.

Moody AFB is searching for capable vendors able to fulfill the requirement of perfoming body damage repair/replacement for a flightline Crash Firetruck 2015 P-23 Oshkosh 3000 Gallon ARFF (UHP) vehicle.

During a reversing incident involving an ARFF, the Left Rear side panel and Rear Left side panel were damaged, and entire engine compartment on the left side was shifted slightly forward by 3/4 inch, causing the left rear tire to brush against the front of the engine compartment.

The repairs would consist of:

Removing both the damaged Left Rear (drivers) side engine compartment panel and the damaged Rear Left side engine compartment panel.

Repositioning engine compartment on the left side, towards the rear by 3/4 inch.

Assessing both panels for damage, to include chips/chunks/gouges as well as any mounting hardware that my have broken, and performing fiberglass repairs, returning the panels to their original structural integrity/shape.

Painting the panels to match existing color.

Re-installing both panels, ensuring correct fit and full functionality of all lights.

For research purposes, please respond to the following in order by number.

1. Please advise on the feasibility of repair vs. replacement for the fiberglass panels.

2. Please advise either repair or replacement, if this could be done remotely, by performing these services on Moody AFB or if ARFF would need to be shipped to/from a repair facility to perfrom said repairs.

Background
Moody Air Force Base is seeking capable vendors to perform body damage repair on a flightline Crash Firetruck, specifically a 2015 P-23 Oshkosh 3000 Gallon ARFF (UHP) vehicle. The goal of this contract is to support the mission of Moody AFB by ensuring the operational readiness of their firetruck fleet.

Work Details
The work involves several key tasks:

1. Pickup & Delivery - Coordinating the flatbed pickup from Moody AFB and delivery to the repair facility.

2. Panel Removal - Removing both the driver's side rear panel and the driver's side panel.

3. Body & Paint Work - Matching new panels to the existing vehicle color, including necessary bodywork and painting.

4. New Panel Installation - Installing painted replacement panels for both the rear body and driver's side panel.

5. Supplies & Materials - Utilizing appropriate bodywork and paint supplies to ensure a seamless finish.

6. Chevron Installation - Installing a new chevron on the rear panel.

7. Final Assembly - Installing all trim, lights, and necessary components to restore the vehicle's functionality.

8. Testing - Ensuring proper fit, finish, and function before returning the unit to service.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Moody Air Force Base for pickup and delivery, with repairs conducted at an off-base repair facility.
