Background
The United States Army Heritage & Education Center (USAHEC) is seeking to acquire high-speed scanning equipment to support in-house digitization and preservation of Army materials. This initiative aligns with their mission to enhance the accessibility and preservation of historical documents and artifacts.

Work Details
The contract includes the procurement of the following items:
- One (1) high-speed tabletop scanner compliant with Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative (FADGI) standards, with a measurable scan area of no less than 24 x 36 inches (A1). The specifications for this scanner include:
- Dell PC Workstation
- 32” Monitor and mount for PC
- Scanning speed of 5-10 seconds per image
- Foot switch
- True color processing: 42 Bit color, 14 bit gray
- Integrated book cradle with a 140-90 degree opening allowance and glass plate, accommodating books with a maximum scan area of 746 x 600 mm
- Output formats: TIFF, JPEG, Multipage TIFF, PDF, Multipage PDF, BMP, PNG, GIF, PCX
- Software features: Basic scanning, imaging curve correction, finger removal, OCR, multithread processing, output compression
- Maintenance: Three years included.

- One (1) high-speed overhead scanner compliant with FADGI standards with a measurable scan area of no less than 36 x 48 inches (A0). Specific details for this scanner are expected to align with similar high-speed scanning capabilities.
