Description
The International Intelligence Technology and Architectures (IITA) program, managed by the Air Force, focuses on enhancing the United States' component of the multinational Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System (BICES). This initiative aims to provide a collaborative environment for intelligence sharing among U.S., NATO, allied, and coalition forces. The program's primary objective is to procure communications and electronic equipment that supports a robust suite of capabilities for intelligence information sharing across the U.S. BICES/US BICES Extended (US BICES-X) system.

The U.S. BICES-X system is designed as a multi-level, secure platform utilizing elements of the Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E) framework. It supports comprehensive intelligence operations and dissemination across the Department of Defense (DoD), Combat Support Agencies (CSA), and multiple Combatant Commands (CCMD). This system operates under the guidance of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)), ensuring it meets global intelligence sharing requirements.

In response to Combatant Command needs, the IITA program aims to implement OUSD(I&S) global intelligence sharing arrangements through funding up to FY2025. This will support Joint Intelligence network requirements to facilitate exchanges with bilateral, multilateral, and NATO partners. The Mission Partner Capability Office will acquire necessary hardware, software, and services to enhance system capabilities such as cross-domain solutions, communications infrastructure, network equipment, storage and backup solutions, encryption equipment, and software licenses.

Additionally, the IITA program includes a Capital Computer Equipment Replacement Plan (CERP), which procures hardware and software to establish U.S. BICES capabilities as core infrastructure for the DoD Mission Partner Environment (MPE). This plan aims to enhance coalition Special Operations Command intelligence sharing capabilities, ensuring all components align with the goal of improved international intelligence collaboration.
