Description
The Electronic Warfare Development program, particularly the Prophet Enhanced effort, is designed to advance the Army's capabilities in tactical electronic warfare and signals intelligence. This initiative focuses on developing systems that can detect, identify, and counteract hostile forces by disrupting their communication and surveillance networks. The primary goal is to ensure the Army's operational effectiveness in utilizing the electromagnetic spectrum against enemy threats. Additionally, the program supports integration and interoperability with emerging technologies to enhance force modernization efforts.

Prophet Enhanced serves as a key component of this initiative, acting as the Army's terrestrial signals intelligence system. It provides 24-hour situational awareness and information superiority to maneuver brigades, enabling effective engagement with enemy forces. The system features a modular and scalable architecture, allowing for flexibility in various operational configurations. Efforts are directed towards maintaining its relevance by integrating next-generation signals intelligence capabilities and addressing component obsolescence issues.

In Fiscal Year 2025, resources are dedicated to continuing engineering support for Prophet Enhanced. This includes focusing on upgrading signals of interest and mitigating obsolescence challenges. The program emphasizes developing state-of-the-art exploitation techniques to keep pace with near-peer adversaries and emerging threats. It also involves technical insertion engineering to incorporate new technologies and ensure the system's operational relevance.

The acquisition strategy for Prophet Enhanced prioritizes maintaining its effectiveness in a dynamic threat environment while reducing risks and costs. This includes developing a common software baseline across systems to enhance threat detection capabilities. Contracting activities focus on ensuring signal intelligence relevance through technical insertions and addressing obsolescence challenges. These efforts aim to streamline processes and sustain the system's capabilities against evolving threats.
