Ballistic Missile Defense Joint Warfighter Support

The Ballistic Missile Defense Joint Warfighter Support Program, is a critical initiative led by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to provide direct technical support to Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Military Services, and the Joint Staff on Missile Defense System development, testing, and operational support. The program's primary goals include enabling the delivery of Missile Defense System capabilities to Warfighters, ensuring their participation in the identification and development of new Missile Defense capabilities, and providing 24/7 operational support to Warfighters worldwide. Additionally, the program aims to enhance Missile Defense System attributes by identifying gaps and needs in warfighting capability and facilitating the inclusion of both CCMD and MDA MD objectives in joint MD warfighting skills exercises.

The specific objectives of this program include managing and operating the MDA Operations Support Center 24/7, coordinating with Combatant Commands for missile defense capability definition and delivery processes, facilitating Service Boards of Directors on Lead Service Missile Defense System equities, providing global system verification and validation over the operational Common Integrated Broadcast, supporting Warfighter training and education, maintaining daily interfaces with the Joint Staff, and managing activities for Reserve support provided by Army, Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. The program also involves strategic-level interfaces with Military Services for planning the delivery, fielding, and operation of respective Lead Service Missile Defense System capabilities. Additionally, it supports transition and transfer to the Military Services through participation in senior-level working groups. Overall, the program aims to ensure seamless collaboration between MDA and Warfighters to enhance missile defense capabilities and operational readiness.
